Moreton Island
Moreton Island, one of many beautiful islands in Moreton Bay, is 98 per cent national park, so think stark white sand dunes and beaches, freshwater lakes, the clearest island water, and blue sky days throughout the year.

Moreton Island cont...
For your Moreton Island holidays you can spend your days swimming, fishing, snorkelling, hiking, bird watching or sand tobogganing, or all of the above.
The island is located a mere 35 kilometres from Brisbane, so the high-speed catamaran can transport you any day of the week from Pinkenba to Moreton Island in 75 minutes.
If you're travelling in a four-wheel drive (the only mode of transport on the island) then catch the Moreton Island ferry between Scarborough and Moreton Island from Wednesday to Monday.
A map of Moreton Island will show the island stretches for 35 kilometres and covers an area of 19,000 hectares. This size makes Moreton Island one of the largest sand islands in the world and also one of the largest sandpit playgrounds. Enjoy!
